Custom Orders

 Hetti Smith offers you the opportunity to customise the design of your favourite Hetti Smith garment. 

Do you want something in particular for your little boy or girl that you just can’t seem to find elsewhere? Perhaps you want a special outfit to suit the theme of a birthday party or other event? I love nothing more than making my boys handmade clothes for special occasions. 

I offer custom orders where you can supply the fabric of your choice and customise the design of the clothing yourself.

Here are just some examples of how you can customise our baby and children’s clothing:

  • Collared shirts/rompers:
    • Can be made with short or long sleeve with placket and cuff. 
    • Can have 1 or 2 chest pockets
    • add pocket flaps  
    • Change button type/colour
    • can be made in any fabric from other Hetti Smith garments currently available or your own fabric supplied (fabric will need to be approved first as appropriate for making your requested garment). 
  •  Overalls:
    • Can be made with or without elastic legs 
    • Can be made in short or long length
    • can include a ruffle on strap or remove ruffle on strap
    • Change button colour/style
    • can be made in any fabric from other Hetti Smith garments currently available or your own fabric supplied (fabric will need to be approved first as appropriate for making your requested garment). 
  • Playsuits: 
    • can be made into dress in same design
    • can have different buttons at back 
    • can have different neckline: choose from round, v neck and sweetheart. 
    • can have different back design including Kiss, classic and cutout.
    • Can have mini cap sleeve, flutter sleeve or no sleeve. 
    • can be made in any fabric from other Hetti Smith garments currently available or your own fabric supplied (fabric will need to be approved first as appropriate for making your requested garment).
  • Dresses:
    • can be made into playsuit in same design
    • can have different buttons at back 
    • can have different neckline: choose from scoop, boat, v neck and sweetheart. 
    • can have different back design including racer, classic scoop and cutout.
    • Can have mini cap sleeve, gathered cap sleeve, flutter sleeve or no sleeve.
    • Can have straight gathered skirt or circle skirt
    • can be made in any fabric from other Hetti Smith garments currently available or your own fabric supplied (fabric will need to be approved first as appropriate for making your requested garment).
  • Shorts
    • Can be made with or without cuffs 
    • can be made in any fabric from other Hetti Smith garments currently available or your own fabric supplied (fabric will need to be approved first as appropriate for making your requested garment).

 Pricing of custom made items vary according to what is ordered. 

Customisations of Scrub Tops

I can custom make your scrub top to suit you. I already offer the very popular option of supplying your own fabric but you can also make small changes to the pattern itself if you would like. 

Examples of free scrub top customisations

  • alter neckline
  • add chest pocket
  • shorten or lengthen the top
  • shorten or lengthen the sleeves
  • make pockets larger or smaller
  • adding I.D loop

Some customisations incur an additional $10 on top of the original scrub top price. This is to cover the extra time taken to complete your order. Any customisation that requires drafting a new scrub top pattern will incur this fee. For example is having a custom size made or a top that has the bust and hip not the same size.
